About this design concept
A working concept prepared for First 5 Orange County's Website Redesign RFP (RFP-2026-Website_Redesign). It shows the direction we would take, not a finished design.
What this is, and isn't
- Not the official First 5 OC website. For real information, visit first5oc.org.
- All content comes from first5oc.org, captured 18–19 September 2026: text, figures, events, news, commissioners and photographs. Nothing confidential was used.
- Colours are today's. First 5 OC has new brand standards that weren't public. The design uses a small set of tokens, so applying the new brand is a one-file change.
- Anything illustrative is labelled, such as the sample meeting rows and the map placeholder. No dates or figures are invented.
- This isn't the production platform. The concept was built on Nanopage, an AI-assisted site platform that Clearview's CTO, Jasmin Ihtijarevic, is involved in building. We use it to prototype quickly. The real site would be built on WordPress, the platform First 5 OC's staff already use, in First 5 OC's own hosting account, and nothing we propose depends on Nanopage.
- It is unlisted, not indexed by search engines, and we will take it down on request.

The ideas it demonstrates
Three audiences, three doors
Parents, partners and the public each reach their tasks from the first screen.
Statutory content, easy to find
A Commission meetings hub, funding opportunities with status and Q&A, and reports as web pages.
Accessible by construction
Semantic landmarks, a skip link, visible focus, keyboard-operable tabs, contrast-checked colours, and data tables beside maps. No overlay.
Staff can run it
A small set of repeatable patterns (cards, rows, stats, callouts) that map to locked blocks in one editor.
